Lealiza creates musical worlds like snow globes, and sings about what’s inside them. Her songs grow out of a lifelong fascination with music from different times and cultures. She is drawn to the ways music can create meaning beyond words.

Singing in several languages, her performances open a musical space that feels both timeless and personal. Whether singing her own words or reimagining a longtime favorite, she brings a lightness that leaves room for discovery. Her performances have taken her to listening spaces and concert halls in the US and abroad, including France, Spain, and Carnegie Hall.

Raised in a home where the stereo was revered, Lealiza heard the music her parents loved, from Broadway to belly dance, through Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade and beyond. Left to explore on her own, she played her mother's musical theater albums and her father's reel-to-reel tapes of vintage world music. When the fragile tapes broke, she quietly taught herself to splice them back together well enough that her father wouldn’t hear the fix. Her musical and technical curiosity still shapes the way she creates and produces recordings today.

In 2022, Lealiza recorded her first album, Thorns and Petals, at Abbey Road Studios. Her work continues to evolve through writing, production, and collaborations with musicians from around the world.
